I finally have my wheels ready. I will have to work on the fuel tank, moving the petrol tap a bit forward. I'm a novice in soldering so I will do some training on a old fuel tank.
After that the big chunck of work on the back of the frame will begin.. scary...
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your build! Noticing that you used a CG 125 fuel tank, I would like to ask where you hid the electronical parts such as wiring and switches. Due to beginning a Scrambler project too I hope you don't mind giving me some advice. Have you switched the mono shock? How did you fit the fuel tank?
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Many greeting:

I just came across your post as I am about to sell my bike.
DeleteCables and switches is a bit of mess to hide. Best is to remove what’s not needed. I just kept bare minimum. Most of it is under the seat, CDI is below the headlamp as I was to lazy to rewire to have it under the seat as well. Wires going to the bars and front light are hidden under the tank.
To fit the cg125 tank you need to grind the mounts on each side of the frame. I also had to hammer a bit the bottom of the tank to make it a bit wider to properly fit on the frame.
I did not touch the shocks or swingarm but the rear part of the frame is lowered (only do this if you or someone knows how to weld with a mig or tig as it did cost me another used frame trying to do it myself with poor equipment)
Good luck
